Development and improvement of image processing scheme for archiving inscription
Abstract
This paper shows improvement of image processing scheme for digitally archiving of inscription on stone monuments. The scheme succeeded in speeding up the image processing, and also improved the readability of the inscription text. The method developed in this study is important for the future development of automatic recognition of characters in inscription from photographs.Details
