EXPLORATION OF PRESERVATION METADATA TOWARDS MEDICAL RESOURCES LONG-TERM ARCHIVING
Abstract
Preservation metadata is the significant component of digital long-term preservation, includes the information about data processing, and undertakes the functions maintaining the reliability, integrity, authenticity, renderability, understandability of archived resources. This paper describes MedPRES preservation metadata-related work, construction requirements with the foundation of Open Archival Information System (OAIS) architecture, data model which contains object, file, event, agent entities, relationships, and semantic units, illustrate metadata practice in MedPRES key processes as well.Details
